Surprising Wine Facts: The Most Planted Red Grape In The World

If you were to guess, what would you think would be the most planted red wine grape in the world?  Cabernet Sauvignon?  Nope.  Pinot Noir?  Nope.  Merlot?  Nope.  It would make sense that one of those grapes would take the title.  But, it's another red wine grape that takes the cake....GRENACHE.  Yep, the strawberry-like Grenache is currently the most planted red grape in the world.  Thank Spain and Australia for that and grab some to taste its luscious flavors and unique character.
