The bottled elixir of youth, this single vineyard Pinot shows off just how much fun you can have with classic beauty and a good sense of humor!

Freedom of Expression:Winemaker Miro Tcholakov takes a lot into his view of winemaking. But, first and foremost, is that he gets to give voice to the finest grapes. One-of-a-kind wines that sing and preach to their origin. And with his own label, he’s got the freedom to do just that. And boy is it tasty.

What you must do: Miro (Miroslav) Tcholakov is no stranger to duty. He completed mandatory military service in Bulgaria before diving into the regions millennia of winemaking tradition. While Milo helped his father make the family supply of wine, it was a temporary harvest job in Sonoma that pulled him into the vinicultural rank and file. But he’s been anything but rank-and-file since! Miro makes singular wine, and his Orsi Vineyard Pinot is just the tip of oenological iceberg.

The job is not the work: The superb QPR (quality to price ratio, for those you not in our meetings) of this Pinot is in part due to Miro’s amazing skill, but the rest lies in our sourcing team. With a wine this good at almost 50% off, well, we may give those rascals a day off. Or not. We don’t want you to have an empty glass, no do we?

Fresh and delicious, this medium, dark ruby glassful invites you in with dark cherry compote, bits of dried cranberry, and strawberry jam. Rose petals and cola ride this wave to a finish that shows off fresh earth and toast.

Miro Cellars searches the region for the finest grapes from a variety of vineyards to make their one-of-a-kind specialty wines. Award winning winemaker Miro Tcholakov considers the particular geology and seasonal climate variations of each vineyard when selecting the most interesting grapes the region has to offer. Because Miro has complete freedom to make precisely the wines he loves best, the results are a spectacular leap above the expected. Let yourself in on one of the best kept secrets in wine today—Miro.

Wine Reviews

“This thick, concentrated wine offers complex notions of sandalwood and soapstone, savory in pleasant ways. Clove accents the warmth of strawberry compote laced in rhubarb.”-– Wine Enthusiast

This Russian River pinot is a classic. Heady rhubarb and cola on the nose, rainier cherries and afterthoughts of red delicious apple skin linger with the tannins. Great example of the difference between the eastern reaches of Russian River where much warmer temperatures are normal by comparison to the west side of the valley. Opulent cherry driven with coal and baking spices lingering with the finish. -WB 5/17
